123 Cal estimates the calories and protein in your food from a photo, and tracks them against a daily target built from your own numbers. If something is not working, or you just want to tell us what to build next, email support@123cal.app and a human will reply.
Photo estimates are approximations. Tap the meal in your diary to edit the name or any number — the corrected version is what counts towards your day. The scan sheet also lists the assumptions the AI made, so you can see where it went wrong, and shows a likely range rather than pretending one number is exact.
Scanning needs an internet connection. If a scan fails, the card in your diary turns red — tap it to try again. If it keeps failing, email us with roughly when it happened and we will check the service.
Use the describe option and type what you ate, for example "two eggs on toast with butter". You can do the same by voice from the Apple Watch app.
Menu → "Delete all logged meals" erases every meal and photo from your device. Deleting the app removes everything else, including your profile. Nothing about your diary is stored on our servers.
Open the Health app → your profile → Apps → 123 Cal, and check that the permissions are granted. Health access is optional and can be revoked there at any time.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → 123 Cal → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple.
